Chile is abuzz with change!

From the years under the communist/socialist rule of Salvador Allende, to the heavy-handed rule of General Augusto Pinochet, life wasn't easy in Chile.

For John Hernandez and his family, political and economic changes in the country have greatly benefitted their successful beekeeping business. In 2005, a worldwide die-off of the bee population jeopardized one-third of the world's crop production and challenged their business. Ultimately it became a blessing in disguise as John, using newly learned techniques, kept his bees healthy and expanded into selling queen bees to other countries.

Veronica Cerezos' family is taking advantage of the changes as well. Her recently formed micro-factory is part of a Chilean effort to further lower the poverty rate in the country.

Witness how economic freedom reduces poverty, increases social mobility, and allows people to Bee the Change to create a better future!

This DVD contains a bonus interview with the authors of the Fraser Institute's Economic Freedom of the World Report, explaining how the index works and the correlations they've discovered between economic freedom and people's well-being.

Loved this catchy title. The video reinforced concepts being taught in government and economics. Gave them real-world experiences. Thanks, IZZIT!

One of the enrichment activities was a group project about creating a pitch for a business. I took it a step further and had the students design a logo for their business as well as planning what steps they might need to take to start said business. As a result, two my students are actually starting the business they created in class. This has really been uplifting for me as an educator.

You have wonderful videos. I especially love the teacher guide; it saves me a lot of time and is helpful to see that the students understood the message.
